The Tailed Beasts are characters in the Japanese animation Naruto Shippuden.
The main nine panels are titled after Tailed Beasts 1-9. Shukaku, Matatabi, Isobu, Son Goku, Kokuo, Saiken, Chomei, Gyuki, and Kurama. Naruto Uzamaki is host to Kurama (9 tails). The tenth panel is named after the legendary 10 tailed beast, Jubi. The Ten-Tails is a beast created by the combined entities of the Shinju and Kaguya Otsutsuki to reclaim the chakra inherited by her two sons, and tied to the legend of the Sage of the Six Paths and the birth of shinobi.
